Getting started
What is colocation?+
Colocation means you own and manage your servers, and we provide the secure space, power, cooling, network and on-site support to run them. It is typically cheaper and more reliable than hosting servers in an office.
Who is colocation for?+
Hosting companies, SaaS and e-commerce teams, ISPs, media and gaming platforms, and any business that wants enterprise-grade infrastructure without building its own server room.
What do I need to get started?+
Tell us your location, space, power draw and bandwidth. We send a quote, you place the order, and we give you a ticket with shipping details. See our Ship Your Hardware page for the full process.
Who operates the data centers?+
We deploy your equipment inside established carrier-neutral facilities: 365 Data Centers in Miami, Equinix in Mumbai, and Yotta Data Centers (Greater Noida D1) and Cyfuture in Noida. The operator runs the building, power and cooling, and FiberColo provides your space, network, onboarding and support. Your quote names the exact facility.
Which locations do you offer?+
We offer colocation in Miami (Florida, USA), Noida (India) and Mumbai (India). Availability and pricing vary by location.
Can I start small and grow later?+
Yes. Many customers begin with a few rack units or a quarter cabinet and upgrade to a half or full cabinet as they grow. Upgrades can usually be done without moving your servers far.
Plans & what is included
What is included in every plan?+
Secured rack space, redundant power, cooling, a network port with bandwidth, IPv6, free rack and stack for the initial install, free reboots, 24/7 monitoring and a customer portal. The summary above shows exactly what is included, what is optional and what you provide.
What is not included?+
Servers, rails, routers, switches and your own software are your responsibility on most plans. Cabinet and cage customers also supply their own cabling. Optional services such as extra power, cross connects and IPMI are add-ons.
Do you supply the servers?+
We focus on colocation, but we can supply dedicated servers, parts, and cabling if you need them. Ask your account manager for a quote.
Is power included or billed separately?+
Every plan includes a base amount of power. Cabinets and cages may be billed on metered usage above the included amount. Your quote states the included amps and the price per extra amp or kWh.
Why don't you list prices?+
Every deployment is different: space, power draw, bandwidth, location and contract term all change the price. We would rather understand your requirements and quote what actually fits, instead of showing numbers that may not apply to you. Quotes usually arrive within one business hour.
Are there setup fees?+
Setup fees are usually waived on 12-month or longer terms. Month-to-month plans may carry a small setup fee. Your quote shows the exact amount.
Rack space & hardware
What size can my equipment be?+
Standard 19 inch rack-mount servers from 1U up are welcome. Mid and full tower systems are accepted within shelf-size limits, and we will confirm the dimensions with you first. Oversized or pedestal cases need prior approval.
Do I need rails?+
Yes, rack-mount servers need rails. Without rails a mounting fee applies per server and installation waits until suitable rails arrive.
Can I bring my own cabinet?+
Cabinets are supplied by us as standard. In some private cage deployments you can bring your own racks. Ask us at quote time.
Can I leave spare parts at the facility?+
Small plans include a shelf for replacement parts and larger cabinets can rent extra storage. Full cabinets keep parts inside the cabinet or pay for extra space.
Is the cabinet locked?+
Yes. Cabinets are lockable and monitored by CCTV. Cabinet customers get keys, and we keep a spare set secured for emergencies only.
Power & cooling
What power options are available?+
120V and 240V single-phase are standard, with three-phase and A+B redundant feeds available on request. Extra amps can be added to any plan.
What if my servers draw more power than included?+
You can add amps at any time. If usage exceeds your allocation, we will notify you and recommend an upgrade before any circuit is overloaded.
Do you provide PDUs?+
We supply PDUs from stock, or you can bring your own metered or switched PDUs for cabinets and cages.
How is the facility cooled?+
Hot and cold aisle containment with redundant cooling and environmental monitoring. Install blanking panels in empty rack spaces, and add a fan for switches that vent sideways.
What happens in a power outage?+
Power runs through UPS and generator backup, with redundant A+B feeds available. Our SLA covers power and network availability.
Network, bandwidth & IPs
How much bandwidth do I get?+
Each plan has a base port speed and a bandwidth allowance, for example 1 Gbps with a monthly transfer allowance, or unmetered options on larger plans. Higher speeds up to 100G are available.
Do I get IP addresses?+
Every plan includes IPv6. IPv4 subnets are allocated with a usage justification and are included or billed depending on the plan. You can also bring your own IP space.
Do you support BGP?+
Yes. Free BGP sessions are available on eligible plans, and you can announce your own ASN and prefixes.
Do I need my own router and switch?+
On cabinet and cage deployments, yes. We deliver a fiber or copper drop to your router or switch. Smaller plans connect directly to our network.
Is DDoS protection included?+
Basic always-on filtering is included. Advanced and higher-capacity mitigation is available as an add-on.
Can I connect to carriers or cloud providers?+
Yes, with cross connects inside the facility. Ask for current carrier and cloud on-ramp options at your location.
Shipping & receiving
How do I send my equipment to you?+
After you order we issue a ticket with the receiving address. Pack your gear well, label it with Attn: your name and ticket number, send us the tracking number, and we handle the rest. Full steps are on the Ship Your Hardware page.
Do you rack my servers for free?+
Yes, initial rack and stack is free. Removing and re-racking equipment later is billed as remote hands.
How long until I am online?+
Usually within 48 hours of your equipment arriving, once your order is confirmed and the account is in good standing. Cabinets and cages take longer depending on power and cross-connect requirements.
What if I ship to the wrong address?+
Please only use the address on your ticket. Packages sent to other addresses, or without notice, can be delayed, returned or refused.
Can I ship equipment into India from another country?+
Yes, but international shipments pass through Indian customs. Duties, GST and clearance are the sender or consignee's responsibility. Talk to us before shipping so we can advise on paperwork.
Access & security
Can I visit the data center?+
Yes. Schedule your first visit at least 48 hours ahead and bring a valid photo ID. Cabinet and cage customers receive 24/7/365 coded access afterwards.
How secure is the facility?+
24/7 security staff, CCTV with recorded retention, controlled entry, locked cabinets, and fire detection and suppression.
Can someone else visit on my behalf?+
Yes. Add authorised contacts to your account in the portal. We verify ID before granting access.
Can I get access in an emergency?+
Yes. Emergency access can be arranged by phone at any hour.
Remote hands & support
What is remote hands?+
Our on-site engineers act as your hands in the data center: power cycles, cable swaps, hardware replacement, console checks and repacking equipment. Free reboots are included, other tasks are billed hourly or against a pre-paid bundle.
How do I contact support?+
Open a ticket in the client portal, email support@fibercolo.com, or call the NOC on +91 99882 29097 at any hour. Average first response is under 15 minutes.
Can you troubleshoot my servers?+
We can run basic diagnostics and hardware checks. Operating system and application support remains your responsibility, but we can recommend trusted partners.
Do you offer remote management?+
Yes. Optional IPMI or KVM access over a private management network lets you control servers without a site visit.
Billing & contracts
When does billing start?+
Billing starts on the date your service goes live, not while your boxes are in transit.
What terms are available?+
Month-to-month, or 12, 24 and 36-month terms with lower pricing. Your quote lists the options.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Bank transfer and major cards. Payment options may vary by location and currency.
Is there an SLA?+
Yes. We guarantee power and network availability and issue service credits if we miss it. See the SLA for full terms.
Moving out
How do I cancel?+
Submit a cancellation request in the client portal before the next renewal date. Missing the date renews the service for another billing period.
How do I get my equipment back?+
Pick it up at the facility with a zero balance and a booked time, or ask us to pack and ship it using your prepaid courier label.
Are there fees for removal?+
De-racking and packing are billed as remote hands. All outstanding invoices must be settled before equipment is released.
What if I forget my equipment?+
Equipment not collected within 30 days of cancellation may be disposed of or retained to cover outstanding charges, so please arrange pickup promptly.
